We are pleased to announce that Marina Developments Limited at Hamble Point have very kindly offered to heavily subsidise the launching and return of Six Metre yachts coming to the 6m World Championships. They are the marina closest to the mouth of the Hamble. There are some good maps of how to get there on www.mdlmarinas.co.uk/marinas/hamble_point/find_us.php.
Their services include lifting from truck or trailer, launching, lifting mast and locating in yacht (rigging to be completed by owner) up to two days pontoon use. At the end of the event they will crane out your mast, lay on yacht, lift out yacht and place on truck our trailer. These services are based on the assumption that an owner’s representative is in attendance and will attend to rigging matters. The MDL representative on site will direct you to the truck storage area.

It is important that you complete the form and submit to MDL in good time. Do tell them when you are coming – and when you expect to return from Cowes. Keep in touch, as they have several yacht movements to administer.
Important: there are several marinas along the Hamble – do ensure you go to Hamble Point!
