AMENDMENTS TO SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

AMENDMENT NO 1 TO SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
25th June 2007


Sailing Instruction 8.1 is amended to read:

8.1 Except if a windward mark is laid in accordance with paragraph 10.5.5, marks will be either navigation buoys, Solent laid racing marks, or laid inflatable buoys and the list of marks from which they will be selected with their positions is contained in Appendix 4.

Sailing Instruction 17.1 is amended to read:

17.1 Boats shall be equipped with VHF Channel 16, 28, 72 and 77. Race management broadcasts including course announcements will be made on VHF Channel 28 (Duplex). Boats shall not transmit on VHF Channel 28. Cowes Yacht Haven uses Channel 80, and Solent Coast Guard uses Channel 67.

AMENDMENT NO 4 TO SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
4th July 2007


17.1 Boats shall be equipped with VHF Channel 16, 28, 72 and 77. Race management broadcasts including course announcements will be made on VHF Channel 72 (Simplex). Boats shall not transmit on VHF Ch 28. Cowes Yacht Haven uses Channel 80, and Solent Coast Guard
uses Channel 67.

This further amendment annuls the reference to SI 17.1 in SER Amendment to SIs No 3.

AMENDMENT NO 5 TO SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
4th July 2007


Sailing Instruction 14 is amended as follows:

14.1 The time limit for all races except the two long races shall be 2½ hours.

14.4 In the case of all races except the two long races, boats failing to finish
within the time limit or within 30 minutes of the second boat to finish, whichever is later, will be scored DNF. In the case of the two longer races the same rule applies except the period after the second boat to finish shall be 60 minutes.

AMENDMENT NO 6 TO SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
4th July 2007


Sailing Instruction 15.2.1 is amended to read:

15.2.1 Except for rating protests and for protests arising in respect of the Long Race on 6th July, the protest time limit is 1 hour after the last boat has finished the last race of the day.
