The RYS IW Foundation is delighted to announce the return of their acclaimed Maritime Careers Fair. Previous events have always been very well received by both the local business community and national companies with strong Island connections. The RYS IW Foundation is funded by Members of the Royal Yacht Squadron in order to help young people, with strong connections to the Isle of Wight, to get started in a career that has a maritime focus. Since September 2016 the Foundation has held three Maritime Careers Fairs. These events enable companies and students to have meaningful conversations in a way less focussed fairs can achieve. In 2019 we hosted 45 Exhibitors and over 1000 students.

The date for 2022 Careers Fair is Thursday 29th September, there are approximately 40 companies confirmed as exhibitors with some still to sign up and we have already have almost 1000 students registered to attend.

Trustees and regular supporters of the Foundation attend on the day to provide support along with young ambassadors who have received support from the Foundation in their own careers. If you would like to get involved please contact the Office for further details.
