The 2026 season marks the Bicentenary of the historic Cowes Week Regatta (1-7 August), and GTRR will form part of a season-long programme of celebrations. It promises to be a remarkable summer in Cowes.
Founded in 1815, the Royal Yacht Squadron has a long tradition of hosting distinguished regattas, and we aim to make the 2026 GTRR a standout event, blending high-level competition with excellent shoreside hospitality. Social events will be held at the Squadron Castle and Pavilion, and racing will be run from our state-of-the-art committee vessel, Castle Two. Our jointly owned J70 fleet (RYS and Royal Thames Yacht Club) is exceptionally well maintained and will be further enhanced this winter with new Vakaros electronics.
Further details will be posted online as they become available. We encourage early accommodation bookings, as Cowes will be particularly busy throughout the Bicentenary season.
